Safe Homes Newsletter, September 23, 2008 Prom Night We wanted to ask you to take a few moments with your teenagers to discuss alcohol and substance abuse. At the very least, please discuss your concern with the possibility of driving or driving with someone who is under the influence. How you approach this conversation and what to say is up to you ... If you want some suggestions, please visit www.stopalcoholabuse.gov We cannot think of anything more important to us then our children's safety ... can you? The Glen Ridge Municipal Alliance Committee (MAC) funds through grants to over 20 different community programs from Peer Leadership, to Social Decision Making, to The Glen Ridge Youth Program. It has granted over $40,000 to community programs in the past year. However the grants must be matched by 25% in community donations. To date we have only raised $3,500 towards our 2008 goal of $10,000. Please make a tax-deductible donation to GR MAC by sending your check to GR MAC, P.O. Box 66, Glen Ridge, NJ 07028.
